USBC President's Challenge toy drive was a massive success!!
This was the 2nd USBC Toy drive under the current USBC President Diego Knight. The goal was to surpass last year's number and was accomplished with 534 toys.

Starting in March of 2025, Rosarito Beach City Hall Councilmember
Yoselin Peña, Director of DIF Rosarito Aziel Adame, USBC President Diego Knight and USBC Treasurer D'Marie Warzecha, met and talked about how to celebrate Mexico's Children's Day in April. USBC's responsibility was to collected toys and donations from USBC members, purchase the toys and bring them to DIF Rosarito Dir. Aziel Adame who created an event for the first time by DIF Rosarito. USBC had over 500 toys and brought them to the event located at IMDER Sports facility.

It was a fantastic packed day with various activities such as artists workshops organized by IMAC, sports activities by IMDER, demonstration by Rosarito Beach Firefighters, activities with Rosarito Beach Law Enforcement and more. The theme was "camping" with small teepees on the field so anyone could watch the animated film. DIF Rosarito Beach gave a kit to every children so they could participate at the numerous activities by adding a sticker on the card. With the total of 8 activities, each with a sticker stating that they participated, they all eagerly waited for the time for USBC Volunteers as well as DIF Rosarito volunteers and others to help out, to give the numerous toys to each child. Besides USBC, Comex Paint company donate several gift boxes of paint. In addition to that, there were more toys donated to ensure that every child had a toy such as scooters, soccer balls, and more.

It was an intense day to make sure it was a complete success, worrying about the weather. Mother Nature saw the children and made sure that the rain avoided the event that morning, and allowed the rain after the event was over so no one was wet.

This was the first time DIF Rosarito made this event for children here and it was a success. In addition to that, that was the USBC's first time to collaborate with DIF Rosarito Beach. Everyone had a great time. Especially for the obstacle race with numerous City Hall officials dressed in numerous costumes such as a dinosaur, Mr. Bill, Garfield the cat, Pink Shark, Chicken and more.
USBC President Diego Knight said that it was a great accomplishment to work exclusively with DIF Rosarito and Rosarito Beach City Hall government. The bridge between Mexican and Foreign communities was strengthen and will continue to work with each other to make the world a better life for everyone
